The Unholy Two
The Unholy Two are the one of the most exciting bands around. Their recent performance at Skully’s was phenomenal. I love Chris Lutzko. This was his first performance since his father passed away, and my condolences to him. His opening line on stage was “What’s the difference between Rahm Emmanuel’s dad and my dad? My dad wasn’t a goddamn Zionist Jew!” And then the band tore into it.
Note: I’m Jewish and have been drinking with Lutzko. Dude ain’t no anti-semite. He’s just fucking crazy.The Unholy Two are one of the reasons that I love living in Columbus. Somehow this city is one of the best places for exciting rock music at the moment, what with bands like Deerhead, Hugs & Kisses, Times New Viking, The Slide Machine, Psychedelic Horseshit, 1point3, Brainbow, The Jellyhearts, Rosehips, BESTFIRENDS, Churches Burn, etc…
So fuck other cities. I travel. New York’s current indie/mathrock fetish is fucking old news. Same thing with the bullshit shoegaze, weak noise and pop country I hear from LA. London ain’t got shit but rap that I can’t understand because of their weird accents and slang. The future belongs to Columbus.
i am not a huge fan of unholy two but i will 2nd you on pretty much everything other noted band. …. especially deerhead and jellyhearts.
